Happy news
I have to try to tell this story because it meant so much to me and was so awesome!!!
Yesterday was Sunday, we went to church. After Sunday School our past bishop Mark Donaldson came directly over to Vili and I and said that he had something happen that he was excited to share: (I'll try to do it justice)
He works for a hospice group and he said that sometimes he meets with different medical professionals for discussions (sales, etc - I'm sure)
ANYWAY, He said that last week he met with some people, were having lunch and the discussion turned to children (of course). They were discussing their children and life. One of the women mentioned that her daughter had this amazing teacher that changed her life. Mrs. Vimahi just made the biggest difference!! What?
He said out of the blue - she had no idea that he lived two doors down from us.
Of course, he had to ask details and for sure it was me!!!!
I asked who she was: Stacey Whittemore and daughter Justine Henry had me in fifth grade - I think 8 years ago.
WOW - SO I DID MAKE A DIFFERENCE -
I'LL REMEMBER YESTERDAY AS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE FOREVER. A COMMENT IN MY BEHALF BETWEEN AND ABOUT STRANGERS - - -

You Are Teal Green |
You are a one of a kind, original person. There's no one even close to being like you. Expressive and creative, you have a knack for making the impossible possible. While you are a bit offbeat, you don't scare people away with your quirks. Your warm personality nicely counteracts and strange habits you may have. |

Deer hunt 2008
Great time by all. No big deer to bring home, but we don't care about that these days. We just like to be together. One of the fun moments was when we tried to go out with all three of my kids, Dad, Vili, and Caleb on the four wheelers for a long hunt and long ride. All the kids were excited. It was drizzling - we thought it would stop. We rode for 20-30 minutes. The rain was coming down hard. We were wet. Kids were happy but getting colder. Tasha was still smiling until we put her between Jonah and I to keep her warm - she didn't like that at all. Then it started pouring. Dad, the kids, and I got under a tree and sent the other two boys to get the truck and come pick us up.
It was quite the adventure and the kids were in heaven. We decided to pretend we could be stranded through the night. Jonah was keeping us safe and building a shelter with fallen wood. The whole time he was quoting Bear Grills. Tasha was loving Papa while Charley tried to figure out food options.
Another highlight was an old homestead we discovered - A State Site - kids thought it was cool to have a glimpse into the past

True True True
You Are a Green Crayon |
Your world is colored in harmonious, peaceful, natural colors. While some may associate green with money, you are one of the least materialistic people around. Comfort is important to you. You like to feel as relaxed as possible - and you try to make others feel at ease. You're very happy with who you are, and it certainly shows! Your color wheel opposite is red. Every time you feel grounded, a red person does their best to shake you. |

Charley's half Birthday
We had Charley's half birthday with Ema Anderson from across the street. Both girls were born on Christmas Eve in 2003. We decided that we had to have a real party in July. Thanks to Becky Anderson for all the great ideas.
It was a bike party in the park in front of our house. The girls both learned to ride their two wheel bikes this year so it was the perfect theme. The kids washed their bikes then, they rinsed them by riding around the park and through the sprinklers. After the bikes were all cleaned they decorated them.
Charley refused to decorate. But her favorite part was the bike parade. She and Ema got to be the leaders.
The whole neighborhood was out. Becky did 20 invitations but I made 48 cupcakes and they were all gone. It was a good time.
I'm a terrible blogger - UPDATE
I've decided that there isn't really a summer anymore. The time has flown by - - -
I just wanted to post an update to the Vimahi summer!! After our amazing time in Mazatlan, we had about a week of down time before two weeks of fun-filled family time. We had 2 big celebrations/parties:
The 2nd of July my baby turned ONE - - - what? I knew it would happen but I didn't want it to. We had a family party on the 4th of July. Tasha's Bday and Independence Day. Fun Fun - -
That next day Saturday the 5th was Jonah's baptism. It was a beautiful and special occasion for him. Jonah had a lot of support from family and friends - thanks to everyone who came. Thank you especially to Grandma Vimahi - she made it especially wonderful for Jonah. He was so handsome and the best part for me was the Jonah sang "Baptism" for the stake portion in the chapel. He loved the "water part" and I have to say: he had a large circle of priesthood holders for his confirmation. I'm so proud of Jonah - he is such a good boy and he has great understanding of the spiritual aspects of life.
Since the first part of July, we have been having more fun!! The following week, we had a lot of fun with cousins including the Zoo, Jayda's baptism, shopping, time at Cirque Lodge, boating, and lots of play time at Grandma's House.

BEAUTIFUL MAZATLAN
Only a partial glimpse at how amazing our vacation was in Mexico - - so grateful for the relaxing, casual time. THANKS MOM AND DAD
Jonah on the Waves
We couldn't get Jonah to come in off the waves. He is officially a "beach bum" Jonah is sad - he says that this video makes the waves look so small. They were really nice and big
Natasha loving the pool
Natasha loved walking in the shallow in her floaty - both girls had great skin and lovely curlies in their hair, the humidity does wonders for them.
